Preview Roundups

Philadelphia at Columbus 7:00 PM ET
Two teams with fledgling playoff hopes meet at Nationwide Arena on Friday, when the Columbus Blue Jackets entertain the Philadelphia Flyers. The Blue Jackets are running out of games and still have several teams to pass in their quest for an Eastern Conference playoff spot as they've dropped four of six contests and are coming off a 4-3 defeat against Los Angeles. The Flyers are in slightly better shape, having recorded points in each of their last seven games (5-0-2).
New Jersey at Chicago 8:30 PM ET
Marian Hossa struggled to find consistent offense this season before scoring two goals in each of his last three games. The 36-year-old looks to continue his torrid stretch when the Chicago Blackhawks play the third contest of their eight-game homestand against the New Jersey Devils on Friday. "It’s feeling good, you know, when the puck's going in for you," Hossa told ESPN Chicago on the heels of the Blackhawks' 5-4 overtime loss to Vancouver on Wednesday.
Florida at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Dallas Stars probably wish they were a stronger home team, even as their success away from American Airlines Center has kept them within striking distance of a Western Conference playoff spot. The Stars look to end a three-game home losing streak Friday as they entertain the Florida Panthers. Dallas is coming off consecutive road wins over the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins, while Florida dropped a 2-1 decision to Minnesota on Thursday.
San Jose at Arizona 9:00 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks are losing some of their cushion in the race for a Western Conference playoff spot as they've won just one of their last six contests. The Sharks look to turn things around when they visit the Arizona Coyotes on Friday after letting a third-period lead get away and rallying for a point in a 5-4 overtime loss to Washington two days earlier. Arizona - 13th out of 14 in the West - has gained points in four of its last six (3-2-1) and has allowed only 11 goals in that span.
Boston at Vancouver 10:00 PM ET
The Boston Bruins have answered an 8-1-1 stretch by winning just one of their last four contests, causing coach Claude Julien to stress the importance of being focused as the team opens a five-game road trip against the Vancouver Canucks on Friday. "On this road trip, people talk about bonding and talk about this and that - right now, it's more about going out there and doing our jobs game in and game out," Julien said.
