Washington took an early lead Tuesday before allowing three straight goals en route to a 3-2 setback against the New York Islanders that concluded a 1-2-0 trek.

The Calgary Flames hope a winning goal last Thursday and a trip to All-Star weekend will be the springboard Johnny Gaudreau needs to provide the team a big boost in the final 30 contests of the season. Gaudreau, who snapped an 11-game goal-scoring drought last time out, will try to keep it going when the Flames host the Western Conference-leading Minnesota Wild on Wednesday.
Colorado at Los Angeles 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Kings attempt to extend their winning streak to four games as they make a cameo appearance at home to face the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday. Los Angeles wrapped up a 3-2-0 trek on Tuesday with its third straight victory, a 3-2 triumph at Arizona, and heads back out on the road for four more contests following its meeting with Colorado.
