Washington at NY Rangers 1:00 PM ET
Alex Ovechkin hopes to continue his march toward 500 goals when the NHL-leading Washington Capitals wrap up a five-game road trip with a visit to the New York Rangers on Saturday afternoon. Ovechkin scored his 497th goal to help the Capitals become the first team to reach 30 wins for the season with a 4-1 victory over the New York Islanders on Thursday.
NY Islanders at Philadelphia 1:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia Flyers have ignited their dormant offense over the last two games and could be in for some more good fortune on Saturday afternoon when they open a three-game homestand against the Metropolitan Division-rival New York Islanders. After mustering just five goals during a fruitless three-game trek through California, the Flyers have recorded consecutive 4-3 wins over Montreal and Minnesota.
Pittsburgh at Montreal 7:00 PM ET
After dropping a home-and-home series, the Pittsburgh Penguins attempt to get back on the winning track on Saturday when they visit the Montreal Canadiens. The Bell Centre has been a safe haven for the Penguins, who have won two straight there and own a 5-1-1 mark in their last seven visits.
Toronto at San Jose 7:00 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks are wrapping up a five-game homestand, but that's not necessarily a bad thing given the team's startling inability to win at SAP Center. San Jose has dropped two in a row and three of four to fall to a league-worst 5-12-0 at home as they prepare to host the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are concluding a three-game California road trip.
Minnesota at Dallas 8:00 PM ET
With the Dallas Stars enjoying their best start in the franchise's 49-year history, general manager Jim Nill was rewarded for his shrewd moves with a five-year contract extension on Friday. Nill's Western Conference-leading Stars look to continue their good fortune as they vie for their second straight victory over a Central Division rival on Saturday when they host the Minnesota Wild.
