The teams are each 4-0 after the Huskies defeated Michigan 74-60 on Wednesday and the Orange took care of Charlotte 83-70 behind 26 points and four assists from senior forward Michael Gbinije.

Ninth-ranked Villanova looks to continue its winning ways when it faces Stanford in the semifinals of the NIT Season Tip-Off on Thursday in Brooklyn, N.Y. The Wildcats beat Akron 75-56 in the campus round of the tournament to improve to 4-0 for the third straight season and extend their winning streak against non-conference opponents in the regular season to 19 games.

Fans watching Thursday’s contest between Richmond and No. 22 West Virginia will be treated to an offensive feast between teams that are each averaging at least 90.8 points. The matchup at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas is part of the Continental Tire Classic, which concludes Friday with the teams facing either San Diego State or California.

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo will be looking for win No. 500 at the school when the the No. 4 Spartans meet Boston College on Thursday in the opening round of the Wooden Legacy at Cal State Fullerton. A victory will also improve Izzo's record to 59-0 during the month of November, but it won't come easy against a Boston College team that's off to its best start in seven years.

Washington and Texas, two teams that made history two weeks ago when they played the first regular-season men's college basketball game in China, meet again in a location more than 13,000 miles on the other side of the world Thursday in the consolation round of the Battle 4 Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas. Washington, behind 23 points by senior guard Andrew Andrews, rallied to win the first meeting 77-71 at Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai on Nov. 14.

Dylan Osetkowski committed himself to fitness and weight training this offseason, and the early results have been impressive. Osetkowski aims to lead Tulane over Mercer when the teams meet Thursday in Nashville as part of the Music City Challenge.

Many believe Kris Dunn of Providence is the best collegiate player in the nation, and he'll get another chance to prove it beginning Thursday against Evansville at the Wooden Legacy at Cal State Fullerton. Dunn, a 6-4 junior guard, came within an assist and three steals of a quadruple-double Monday against NJIT, swelling his season averages to 18.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 5.3 steals.
Charlotte at Michigan 9:30 PM ET
Michigan, looking to bounce back off a disappointing 16-16 season that snapped the program's streak of four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, finds itself in the consolation bracket of the Battle 4 Atlantis where it will meet Charlotte on Thursday. The Wolverines, who ranked 11th in the Big Ten in scoring (64.7) last year, struggled again offensively in dropping their opener to No. 21 Connecticut 74-60 on Wednesday.
Santa Clara at Arizona 11:30 PM ET
Don't expect a repeat of 1993 when No. 10 Arizona meets Santa Clara on Thursday night in the opening round of the Wooden Legacy at Cal State Fullerton. That was the year the Steve Nash-led Broncos posted one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history, knocking off second-seeded Arizona in the opening round in Salt Lake City, one of seven first-rounds wins by a No. 15 seed in the history of the tournament.

After winning its first four games by an average of 21 points, No. 13 California takes a step up in competition Thursday against San Diego State, which is favored to win the Mountain West.
