Preview Roundups

Detroit at Cleveland 4:30 PM ET
Cleveland hopes point guard Kyrie Irving is back in action Sunday at home against Detroit, but it knows LeBron James can still carry the load. With Irving out with a knee contusion Friday in Orlando, James carried the Cavaliers with 29 points - 15 in the fourth quarter - and eight assists in a 98-89 win, their fourth victory in five games. James outscored the Magic by himself in the fourth and is averaging 27.4 points on 54.9 percent shooting since missing a game Dec. 11 with knee pain.
Houston at San Antonio 7:00 PM ET
The Houston Rockets are loading up for a run at their first NBA title in 20 years, and the next stop on their journey is a trip to take on the defending champion San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. The Rockets aim for their third straight win over a Western Conference contender after knocking off Portland and Memphis in their past two games. The scuffling Spurs have dropped two straight and six of seven after a 97-90 loss at New Orleans on Friday.
Oklahoma City at Dallas 7:30 PM ET
Russell Westbrook and Oklahoma City will get their first look at Rajon Rondo in a Dallas uniform when the Thunder visit the Mavericks on Sunday. Westbrook continued his personal assault on the NBA, scoring 29 points in just 25 minutes in Friday's 98-75 pounding of Charlotte. Rondo had a season-high 21 points, along with eight rebounds and seven assists as Dallas snapped a two-game losing streak Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
New York at Portland 9:00 PM ET
The New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers could be missing key players when they meet Sunday in Portland. Trail Blazers leading scorer and rebounder LaMarcus Aldridge missed Saturday’s practice with an illness and was listed as doubtful. New York played without second-leading scorer and top rebounder Amar’e Stoudemire in its overtime loss Saturday night at the Sacramento Kings and the soreness in his right knee is expected to sideline the 13-year veteran the entire three-game trip.
Toronto at Denver 9:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors' six-game road trip, to this point, has been all about the fourth quarter. After allowing 49 fourth-quarter points to the Chicago Bulls on Monday, the Raptors tightened up in the final period Saturday to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 110-98. Toronto outscored Los Angeles 30-20 in the final period and hopes to recreate that late magic Sunday against a Denver Nuggets team that took the Raptors to overtime when the teams met north of the border earlier this month.
Phoenix at L.A. Lakers 9:30 PM ET
Kobe Bryant could possibly be back on the court after a three-game absence to rest an aching body when the Los Angeles Lakers host the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. Bryant has been dealing with soreness in his knees, feet, back and Achilles’ tendons and coach Byron Scott has opted to hold out the 36-year-old Bryant until he feels better. Scott plans to reduce Bryant’s minutes once he returns to save wear and tear on his body.
