Preview Roundups
December 12, 2016
Charlotte at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers can't seem to find any consistency while going 5-5 in the last 10 games but showed some resiliency on the second night of a back-to-back Saturday. The Pacers will try to carry that momentum into Monday, when they close out a two-game homestand by hosting the Charlotte Hornets.
Milwaukee at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks want to be contenders in the Eastern Conference, but a lack of execution down the stretch in games against sub-.500 teams will need to be cleaned up first. The Bucks will measure themselves against one of the best teams in the East when they visit the Toronto Raptors on Monday.
Washington at Miami 7:30 PM ET
The Miami Heat can see the halcyon days of the LeBron James-Dwyane Wade-Chris Bosh era growing smaller in the rearview mirror as they drift down the standings. The injury-plagued Heat will try to snap a five-game slide when they host the Washington Wizards on Monday.
Brooklyn at Houston 8:00 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets hoist more 3-pointers than 28 other teams in the NBA as only the Houston Rockets fire away with more frequency from beyond the arc. The Rockets will try to get more of their attempts to go in and earn a seventh straight win when they host the Nets on Monday.
Denver at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets have a great opportunity to record consecutive wins for just the second time this season when they cap a six-game road trip at the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. The Nuggets improved to 2-3 on the trip with Saturday's 121-113 triumph at Orlando, which stands as the squad's second-best offensive output in a regulation game this season.
Portland at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
Chris Paul will try to follow up a historic performance when he and the Los Angeles Clippers wrap up a four-game homestand against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday. Paul became the first player since turnovers were officially recorded in 1977-78 to finish a game with 20 points, 20 assists and zero turnovers in Saturday's 133-105 rout of the New Orleans Pelicans.
L.A. Lakers at Sacramento 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Lakers are slowly returning to health, but the losses just keep piling up and they carry a six-game slide into a seven-game road trip that begins at the Sacramento Kings on Monday. Guards D'Angelo Russell (knee) and Nick Young (calf) returned from extended absences Sunday night at home against New York, but the Lakers were unable to get enough stops down the stretch in a 118-112 loss.
