Preview Roundups
December 05, 2016
Denver at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers put together a four-game home winning streak last month and looked poised to continue their ascent with several more contests at the Wells Fargo Center bridging into December. Instead, the 76ers dropped their last five home games and will try to salvage the finale of a moisture-shortened three-game homestand when they host the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
Cleveland at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Eastern Conference continues to look like it will again come down to a battle between the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors are anxious to prove that they can stand with the champs and will give it a shot when they host the Cavaliers on Monday.
Washington at Brooklyn 7:30 PM ET
It wasn't long ago that the Washington Wizards and the Brooklyn Nets were perennial playoff contenders in the Eastern Conference, but now both are just trying to avoid the bottom of the standings. The two teams will each try to avoid a third straight loss when the Nets host the Wizards on Monday.
Oklahoma City at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
The Oklahoma City Thunder put their longest winning streak of the season on the line Monday, when they visit the Atlanta Hawks. With Sunday's 101-92 triumph at home over New Orleans, the Thunder have reeled off five straight victories for the first time since an eight-game run near the end of last season.
Portland at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
The Chicago Bulls are struggling to find any consistency and traded wins and losses over the last eight games. One of their best performances of the season came at Portland last month, and the Bulls will try to bounce back from a loss at Dallas by blasting the visiting Trail Blazers again on Monday.
San Antonio at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs look to remain unbeaten on the road when they begin a three-game trip against the improving Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night. The Spurs boast an 11-0 record away from home and have won 11 of the last 12 overall, but needed a late basket from leading scorer Kawhi Leonard to hold off Washington 107-105 on Friday and are not overly pleased with their performance of late.
Memphis at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
The Memphis Grizzlies figure to be very short-handed once again as they put a two-game winning streak on the line when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday. Dressing only nine players for the third straight game, the Grizzlies managed to outlast the Los Angeles Lakers 103-100 on Saturday.
Boston at Houston 8:00 PM ET
The Boston Celtics have been preaching a return to the hard-nosed defensive approach that allowed them to climb the ladder in the Eastern Conference last season. They will face one of their stiffer challenges in that pursuit when they continue a three-game road trip at the Houston Rockets on Monday.
Charlotte at Dallas 8:30 PM ET

The Charlotte Hornets are wasting a strong start to the season and look to begin changing their course when they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. The Hornets have dropped six of nine since a promising 8-3 start after a frustrating 125-120 overtime setback against Minnesota on Saturday at home as they coughed up a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter.

Utah at L.A. Lakers 10:30 PM ET
The injury-plagued Utah Jazz are relying on Gordon Hayward to carry a big portion of the scoring load with several key players out and the 26-year-old Butler product is more than fulfilling his end of the deal. Hayward will attempt to extend his streak of 30-point games to four when the improving Jazz visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night in a battle of playoff hopefuls.
Indiana at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
Before embarking on a lengthy road trip — all against Western Conference opponents — the Golden State Warriors will try to close out a lengthy homestand in winning fashion when they host the Indiana Pacers on Monday. The Warriors bounced back in a big way from a double-overtime defeat to Houston by pounding Phoenix 138-109 on Saturday to improve to 3-1 on their homestand.
