Preview Roundups
December 02, 2016
Orlando at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
It has been one step forward and two steps back for the Orlando Magic most of this season and they may have endured their most distressing loss Thursday in Memphis, coughing up a 14-point lead in the final 6:02. The Magic will try to put the demoralizing setback behind them less than 24 hours later when they visit the struggling Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.
Sacramento at Boston 7:30 PM ET
Although they have been on the road for almost a week, the Sacramento Kings should be well-rested when they visit the Boston Celtics on Friday. The Kings saw their scheduled game at Philadelphia on Wednesday - their third contest in a string of six straight on the road - postponed due to condensation on the court.
L.A. Lakers at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors are winners of four in a row and All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry's improved shooting touch is helping to lead the way. Lowry will try to stay hot from behind beyond the arc when the Raptors host the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.
Minnesota at New York 7:30 PM ET
Karl-Anthony Towns once again got the better of the individual matchup with fellow 2015 top-5 pick Kristaps Porzingis on Wednesday, but it was Porzingis and the New York Knicks going home with the win. Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves will try to even things up when they visit the Knicks on Friday to close out the home-and-home set.
Cleveland at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
The Cleveland Cavaliers are suffering through their first losing streak of the season and now must visit a hungry rival in the second half of a back-to-back set when they take on the Chicago Bulls on Friday. The Cavaliers followed a 17-point loss at Milwaukee on Tuesday with a 113-94 setback against the Los Angeles Clippers at home two nights later.
L.A. Clippers at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers ended an ugly losing streak in perhaps the most impressive manner possible, and they will try to ride the momentum into a meeting with the host New Orleans Pelicans on Friday. After dropping three in a row against teams that had losing records entering the game, the Clippers turned the tables in dramatic fashion with a 113-94 triumph at Cleveland on Thursday.
Detroit at Atlanta 8:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons are winners of four of their last five games and gave themselves a shot at a winning four-game road trip with a 121-114 triumph at Boston on Wednesday. Standing in the way are the Atlanta Hawks, who host the Pistons on Friday and are stumbling with losses in four straight and seven of their last eight.
Washington at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
The Washington Wizards began a three-game road trip with a 126-115 overtime loss at Oklahoma City on Wednesday to fall to 1-6 away from home. The road trip does not get any easier on Friday, when the Wizards visit the San Antonio Spurs.
Houston at Denver 10:30 PM ET
The Denver Nuggets have not gotten the job done at home in the first five weeks of the season and look to begin changing that trend when they host the improving Houston Rockets on Friday night. The Nuggets have dropped six of nine games on their home court after a 106-98 loss to Miami on Wednesday — their third setback in the past four games overall.
