Preview Roundups
November 18, 2015
Brooklyn at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets are trying to dig themselves out of a hole and aim to record a second straight victory for the first time this season when they visit the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. Brooklyn is off to a woeful 2-9 start but arrives in Charlotte on a high after recording a 90-88 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.
Minnesota at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
The steady hand of Ricky Rubio at point guard was all the Minnesota Timberwolves needed to snap a four-game slide. The Timberwolves will try to earn back-to-back wins and sweep through Florida when they visit the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
Indiana at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers have to earn a win sooner or later, and the young team keeps making strides in the right direction. The 76ers will give it another shot when they host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.
Dallas at Boston 7:30 PM ET
The Boston Celtics looked impressive while ripping an Eastern Conference contender and a pair from the West in consecutive wins and will try to make it four straight when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. The Celtics knocked off Atlanta, Oklahoma City and Houston by a combined 44 points in their last three contests.
Sacramento at Atlanta 8:00 PM ET
What a difference a week makes for the Sacramento Kings, whose six-game losing streak feels like a distant memory as the conversation surrounding center DeMarcus Cousins for the moment is focused on his performance on the court. The Kings open a five-game East Coast road trip Wednesday at the Atlanta Hawks riding a three-game winning streak, and Cousins earned Western Conference player of the week honors after averaging 32.5 points in his past four contests.
Portland at Houston 8:00 PM ET
The two most disappointing squads in the Western Conference square off Wednesday when the Portland Trail Blazers visit the Houston Rockets. Both teams were playoff representatives last season but Portland enters this contest with a six-game losing streak and Houston is mired in a four-game skid.
New Orleans at Oklahoma City 8:00 PM ET
The Oklahoma City Thunder are, unsurprisingly, looking much more vulnerable without former MVP Kevin Durant in the lineup. Perhaps a visit from the reeling New Orleans Pelicans - who might also be playing without a superstar - on Wednesday will help the Thunder get back to their winning ways.
Denver at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
San Antonio will try to continue taking advantage of a favorable stretch of games when it wraps up a three-game homestand against Denver on Wednesday. The Spurs have won five straight games, three against teams that missed the playoffs last season and two over a struggling Portland team that lost its star forward - LaMarcus Aldridge - to San Antonio this offseason.
Toronto at Utah 9:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors have lost the first two contests of a five-game road swing and attempt to turn things around when they visit the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. Toronto opened the trip with a loss to Sacramento and then gave unbeaten Golden State a fight Tuesday before succumbing 115-110.
Chicago at Phoenix 10:30 PM ET
The Chicago Bulls are enjoying a three-game winning streak while once again answering questions about an injury to point guard Derrick Rose. The Bulls hope to have Rose back on the court when they begin a four-game trip by visiting the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
