Preview Roundups
November 13, 2016
Charlotte at Cleveland 3:30 PM ET
The Charlotte Hornets' inability to execute on both ends down the stretch on Friday wasted an opportunity to knock off one Eastern Conference finalist from last spring and ended a four-game winning streak. The Hornets will try to tighten their focus in the fourth quarter Sunday when they hit the road to visit the other East finalist from last spring - the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers.
Orlando at Oklahoma City 7:00 PM ET
Russell Westbrook is carrying the Oklahoma City Thunder but could not get the game-winning shot to fall on Friday in a 110-108 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Westbrook and company will try to avoid a third consecutive setback when they host the slumping Orlando Magic on Sunday.
L.A. Lakers at Minnesota 7:00 PM ET
In their woeful 2016-17 campaign, the Los Angeles Lakers lost their final 13 road games and finished with just five victories away from home all season. The revamped Lakers have reversed that trend and can win their fourth straight road game when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
Phoenix at Golden State 8:00 PM ET
Steph Curry is on another of his trademark scoring binges and his Golden State Warriors are streaking as well entering a matchup with the visiting Phoenix Suns on Sunday. After missing all 10 of his 3-point tries in a 20-point loss at the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 4 — snapping his NBA record of making at least one triple in 157 straight regular-season games — Curry has rediscovered his touch to lead the Warriors to three straight wins.
Denver at Portland 9:00 PM ET
The Portland Trail Blazers go after their fifth win in six games and hope to make it a little easier on themselves when the Denver Nuggets pay a visit Sunday night. The Trail Blazers have earned their last five wins by a combined 23 points and played three overtime games this season despite being among the league leaders in scoring at 108.4 per contest.
