Preview Roundups
November 11, 2015
New York at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The New York Knicks won only seven road games last season while posting a franchise-worst 17-65 record. Vastly improved New York looks for its fourth win in five away games in the current campaign when it visits the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
L.A. Lakers at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
The Orlando Magic look to continue their progress with seven of next nine games at home, beginning with a visit from the struggling Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. The Magic rebounded from a 0-3 start in which they coughed up two fourth-quarter leads to win three of their last five with improved defense and a balanced offense for first-year coach Scott Skiles.
Toronto at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors were the first team in the Eastern Conference to reach five wins, but a week later they remain stuck on that number. The Raptors will try to snap a sudden three-game slide when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
Indiana at Boston 7:30 PM ET
The Boston Celtics left Indiana last week on a sour note, having lost three straight and searching for a spark, but they have authored a quick turnaround. The Celtics seek their third consecutive win when they meet the Pacers for the second straight Wednesday, this time at home.
New Orleans at Atlanta 8:00 PM ET
The New Orleans Pelicans finally broke through and won their first game of the season Tuesday, but even that bit of good news could not ease the pains of an injury-marred first two weeks. The Pelicans play Wednesday at the Atlanta Hawks and hope leading scorer Anthony Davis will be available after Davis suffered a right hip contusion near halftime of Tuesday’s 120-105 victory over Dallas.
L.A. Clippers at Dallas 8:00 PM ET
It promises to be a hostile environment for Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan when he takes the court in Dallas on Wednesday against the host Mavericks. Jordan badly jilted Dallas during the summer free-agency period when he agreed to a contact with the Mavericks and reneged in the final hours.
Brooklyn at Houston 8:00 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets have yet to secure their first win of the season and the path to that first victory is not immediately clear. The Nets will continue a four-game road trip and a stretch with eight of 10 away from home when they visit the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
Golden State at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
The defending champion Golden State Warriors have yet to suffer a loss this season and are chasing some franchise history. The Warriors can match the 1960-61 Philadelphia Warriors for the best start to a season if they find a way around the host Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.
Milwaukee at Denver 9:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks will likely be without second-year forward Jabari Parker when they visit the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. Parker is working his way back from last season's torn ACL and said he expects to be rested on the second night of a back-to-back.
Detroit at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons hung around with the undefeated Golden State Warriors until the fourth quarter on Monday, which may be their most impressive feat so far on a road trip that includes wins over Portland and Phoenix. The Pistons will try to improve to 3-1 on the trip when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
San Antonio at Portland 10:30 PM ET
LaMarcus Aldridge should be in for a bit of a mixed reception when he returns to Portland for the first time since leaving the franchise in free agency over the summer. Aldridge is still working his way into a rhythm with his new teammates and will be looking for a third straight win when the San Antonio Spurs visit the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
