Preview Roundups
November 07, 2015
Minnesota at Chicago 6:00 PM ET
Derrick Rose’s slow start to the season is a thing of the past after one strong performance, or at least that’s what the Chicago Bulls are hoping. Rose will try to make it two straight great games when the Bulls host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
Orlando at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Orlando Magic were able to hand the Toronto Raptors their first loss with a solid defensive effort Friday night. The Magic now hope to keep the Philadelphia 76ers from picking up their first win when they visit the City of Brotherly Love on Saturday.
Washington at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
Even though the Atlanta Hawks ended the Washington Wizards' season in the Eastern Conference semifinals last spring, Bradley Beal showed the league he is a rising star. The Wizards play Saturday in Atlanta looking for another strong performance from Beal, who averaged 25.2 points in Washington’s six-game series loss and has started the new season with 24 or more points in each of his first five contests.
New Orleans at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Dallas Mavericks attempt to avoid a winless three-game homestand when they host the struggling New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night. The Mavericks allowed an average of 105 points in losing to Toronto and Charlotte in the last two contests, and have sputtered at times in the offensive end over the first five games – shooting 41.2 percent from the field.
Brooklyn at Milwaukee 8:30 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets are mired in a winless start but the dismal stretch is nowhere near the worst in franchise history. Brooklyn has lost six straight games entering Saturday's game against the host Milwaukee Bucks, far off the dubious NBA record-setting 0-18 start in 2009-10.
Charlotte at San Antonio 8:30 PM ET
The Charlotte Hornets topped out at 94 points in dropping each of their first three games but exploded on offense in winning the last two. The Hornets will try to even their record with a third straight triumph when they visit the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
Memphis at Utah 9:00 PM ET
The Memphis Grizzlies have yet to beat a Western Conference playoff contender and will get another chance when they visit the surprising Utah Jazz on Saturday. The Grizzlies dropped two of the first three on a five-game road trip that finishes up at the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.
Golden State at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors are rolling up victories as the league's lone unbeaten squad and look to improve to 7-0 when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. Golden State has started strong in defense of its NBA championship and reigning MVP Stephen Curry has scored 30 or more in five of the first six games - the first player to achieve that since Kobe Bryant in 2009-10.
Houston at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
The Houston Rockets ended Los Angeles' season with a stunning comeback in the second round of the playoffs last May and look to post another win over the host Clippers on Saturday. Los Angeles led the Western Conference series 3-1 before the Rockets won the final three games - including rallying from a 19-point, third-quarter deficit to win Game 6.
