Preview Roundups
November 02, 2014
Sacramento at L.A. Clippers 3:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers haven't been sharp in their first two games, but they'll look to remain undefeated Sunday when they host a Sacramento Kings team they have dominated in recent years. It's a matchup of two of the league's top young post players in Los Angeles' Blake Griffin and Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins. The Clippers have won five straight and 10 of 11 against the Kings, and Sacramento hasn't beaten the Clippers in Los Angeles since March 21, 2010.
Toronto at Miami 6:00 PM ET
The Miami Heat haven't lost a regular-season game since LeBron James left town, but that will be tested when they host the Toronto Raptors on Sunday in a matchup of undefeated teams. Miami has won 15 straight regular-season games against Toronto dating to Jan. 27, 2010, and the Raptors haven't won at Miami since Nov. 19, 2008. That's also the last year the Raptors started 2-0 before this season.
Charlotte at New York 7:30 PM ET
After New York became the butt of jokes in The Big Apple after a horrendous home opener Wednesday against Chicago, the Knicks came back with a big effort in a 95-90 win against LeBron James and the Cavaliers one night later. New York will look to keep the momentum going under first-year coach Derek Fisher when the Charlotte Hornets visit Sunday. The Hornets rallied from a 24-point, third-quarter deficit against Milwaukee before suffering a 71-69 loss to the rugged Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.
Golden State at Portland 9:00 PM ET
Klay Thompson is looking like a prized investment so far and the Golden State Warriors will continue hoping he pays dividends Sunday when they take on the host Portland Trail Blazers. Thompson, who signed a four-year, $70-million contract extension Friday, scored a career-high 41 points in a blowout win Saturday night against the Lakers. Portland, meanwhile, is still bristling from its 103-94 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Friday.
