Dwyane Wade makes his debut for the hometown club when the Chicago Bulls open the season on Thursday against the visiting Boston Celtics. Wade spent his first 13 NBA seasons with the Miami Heat before joining the Bulls as a free agent this summer and he looks to help Chicago return to the playoffs after the franchise missed out last season.
San Antonio at Sacramento 10:30 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs opened the season by annihilating the Golden State Warriors and now will partake in the first game of the Sacramento Kings' new arena. Thursday marks the first NBA contest inside the Golden 1 Center, a 17,500-seat facility in downtown Sacramento.

Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard said before the season that he expected to be in the MVP discussion this year and went out on opening night and backed up the talk. Lillard will try to lead his team to two straight wins to begin the season when he and the Trail Blazers host a few other players who expect to be mentioned in the MVP discussion with the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
