Preview Roundups
April 13, 2015
Houston at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Houston Rockets are fighting for the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference and could end up as low as No. 6 with a poor final two games. The Rockets will try to take advantage of a team out of the race when they visit the Charlotte Hornets on Monday.
Detroit at Cleveland 7:00 PM ET
The Cleveland Cavaliers announced their surrender on the rest of the regular season over the weekend, though finding a rhythm in the final two games will be a priority. The Detroit Pistons will try to hand the Cavaliers a third straight loss when they visit Cleveland on Monday.
Milwaukee at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks locked up the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference but still have a shot to finish the regular season at.500 or better for the first time since the 2009-10 campaign - a feat they can accomplish with a win Monday night at the Philadelphia 76ers. The Bucks clinched their playoff spot with a win Sunday against the visiting Brooklyn Nets and will face either the Chicago Bulls or Toronto Raptors in the first round of the playoffs.
New York at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET

While the Atlanta Hawks are trying to finish the regular season strong to build momentum for the playoffs, the New York Knicks just want to finish. The Hawks host the Knicks on Monday in a matchup of the best and worst teams in the Eastern Conference as the regular season winds to a close.

Chicago at Brooklyn 7:30 PM ET
After laying an egg on the road, Brooklyn begins a season-ending two-game homestand with a virtual must-win contest against Chicago on Monday. The Nets, who fell 96-73 in Milwaukee on Sunday, enter leading Indiana by a half-game for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with two games to play, and they own the tiebreaker with the Pacers if it comes to that.
Orlando at Miami 7:30 PM ET
A deep slump at the worst time of the season has all but assured that the Miami Heat will miss the playoffs entering Monday’s home game against the Orlando Magic. Miami is two games out of eighth place with two games to play and needs both the Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers to collapse to maintain a remote chance.
New Orleans at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET

The New Orleans Pelicans are playing for a spot in the postseason while their next opponent is playing for pingpong balls. The Pelicans are tied for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference going into Monday night's road contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are tied for the worst record in the NBA.

Portland at Oklahoma City 8:00 PM ET
Oklahoma City will have the services of star guard Russell Westbrook on Monday when it needs him most in a virtual must-win at home against Portland. In the midst of a career-high 54-point effort in Sunday's 116-104 loss at Indiana, Westbrook was given his 16th technical foul of the season, which automatically kicked in a one-game suspension.
Dallas at Utah 9:00 PM ET
The Dallas Mavericks attempt to defeat Utah for the ninth consecutive time when they visit the Jazz on Monday. Dallas is locked into the No. 7 spot in the Western Conference playoff picture and is looking to reach 50 victories for the first time since 2010-11, when the Mavericks won the NBA title.
L.A. Lakers at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
Two of the also-rans in the Western Conference meet up Monday when the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Sacramento Kings. Los Angeles is trying to avoid the first 60-loss season in franchise history and has lost six of its last seven games after falling to Dallas 120-106 on Sunday.
Memphis at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
The Memphis Grizzlies are locked in a battle for the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference and are trying to hold off three other teams, possibly without the services of Marc Gasol. The Grizzlies hope to have their star center back when they visit the top-seeded Golden State Warriors on Monday.
Denver at L.A. Clippers 10:30 PM ET
Two teams with far different plans for next week will meet up Monday when the Los Angeles Clippers host the Denver Nuggets in their second-to-last games of the regular season. The Clippers are attempting to catch the San Antonio Spurs for second place in the Western Conference standings, while the Nuggets were long ago eliminated from playoff contention.
