Preview Roundups
April 11, 2015
New York at Orlando 7:00 PM ET
A night after falling short of its first four-game winning streak of the season, Orlando wraps up its home schedule with a visit from New York on Saturday. The Magic had matched their best run with three consecutive wins before a late 3-pointer by Toronto led to a 101-99 setback Friday, dropping the squad to 13-27 at home.
Toronto at Miami 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors are closing in on home-court advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs as they visit the desperate Miami Heat on Saturday night. The Raptors rallied past Orlando 101-99 on Friday to tie Chicago for third place in the East – two games ahead of fifth-place Washington – and Miami likely needs a 3-0 finish to have a chance at the postseason after losing five of its last six.
Philadelphia at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
The Chicago Bulls are focused on getting point guard Derrick Rose in playoff shape as they close in on the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. Chicago aims to take another step toward sealing that spot when they host the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
Memphis at L.A. Clippers 10:00 PM ET
The Memphis Grizzlies have regained the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference and will try to stay there when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. Memphis is a half-game ahead of third-place San Antonio after notching an 89-88 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday.
Utah at Portland 10:00 PM ET
The Portland Trail Blazers seem destined to be the No. 4 seed for the Western Conference playoffs as odds of moving up are slim entering Saturday’s home game against the Utah Jazz. Portland is 2 1/2 games behind the No. 3 San Antonio Spurs with three games remaining, and the Spurs have won their last 10 games.
Minnesota at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors have spent the season setting records, and point guard Stephen Curry is getting into the act with some records of his own. Curry will try to build on his NBA record for 3-pointers made in a season when the Warriors host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
