Preview Roundups
April 10, 2016
Charlotte at Washington 12:00 PM ET
The Washington Wizards had their playoff hopes come to an end with a loss at Detroit on Friday and will play out the string in the final three games. The Charlotte Hornets, who visit the Wizards on Sunday, already punched their ticket to the postseason but are still fighting over positioning in the Eastern Conference.
L.A. Lakers at Houston 3:30 PM ET
A favorable stretch run that figured to give the Houston Rockets a good chance to sneak into the playoffs has played out in embarrassing fashion. The Rockets will try again to take advantage of a lesser opponent when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.
Dallas at L.A. Clippers 3:30 PM ET
The Dallas Mavericks have put themselves on the brink of a postseason spot but are not taking anything for granted as they try to wrap up a strong final two weeks and the No. 7 spot in the Western Conference. The Mavericks will try to clinch their spot when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
Milwaukee at Philadelphia 5:00 PM ET
If the last three games are any indication, Giannis Antetokounmpo is beginning to fully assert his position as the focal point for the Milwaukee Bucks moving forward. The 21-year-old from Greece looks to continue his productive run in the final week of the season as Milwaukee visits the league-worst Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
Utah at Denver 5:00 PM ET
The Utah Jazz wasted a golden opportunity at home to strengthen their hold on the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. They will now try to inch closer to a postseason berth on the road when they visit the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
Brooklyn at Indiana 6:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers need one more win to lock up a spot in the postseason and host the struggling Brooklyn Nets on Sunday. The Pacers missed out on a chance to clinch it themselves with a 111-98 setback at Toronto on Friday and watched the ninth place Chicago Bulls stay alive with a victory on Saturday night.
Orlando at Miami 6:00 PM ET
The Miami Heat have been a much better team on their home court this season, but could be forced to start the postseason on the road without help and a three-game winning streak to end the regular season. The Heat finish their home slate Sunday when they attempt to avoid a home-and-home sweep by the rejuvenated Orlando Magic.
Golden State at San Antonio 7:00 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors rallied late Saturday to give themselves an opportunity at history and set up a monumental matchup at the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. The Warriors finished on an 8-2 run to steal a 100-99 win at Memphis, improving to 71-9 and keeping alive their chance to record an NBA-record 73 victories with two games to play.
Toronto at New York 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors are resting their players in anticipation of the playoffs but aren’t sacrificing in the win column. The Raptors will continue to shuffle players and go for victories when they visit the New York Knicks on Sunday.
