March 24, 2015
Toronto at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors look to stay on the winning track when they hit the road to face the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. The Raptors have won three of their last four, including a 106-89 victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday, to pull a half-game ahead of the Chicago Bulls in the race for the third seed in the Eastern Conference. Toronto has dropped four of its last five away from Air Canada Centre and hopes to solve its road woes by beating the Pistons for the fourth straight time in Detroit.
Miami at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
Miami can inch closer to the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference when it continues a four-game road trip at Milwaukee on Tuesday. The Heat will enter the contest 1 1/2 games behind the slumping Bucks, who have dropped a season-high six in a row to fall back toward a large pack of pursuers, led by Miami. The Heat had won three straight and seven of 10 before beginning their road trip with a 93-75 loss at Oklahoma City.
L.A. Lakers at Oklahoma City 8:00 PM ET
The Oklahoma Thunder are a season-best 10 games above .500 and attempt to strengthen their hold on the final playoff position in the Western Conference when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. The Thunder have a 2 1/2-game lead over the Phoenix Suns with the New Orleans Pelicans lurking three games out with just 12 regular-season games remaining. Los Angeles has experienced deep struggles on the road by losing 15 of their last 16 away games.
San Antonio at Dallas 8:00 PM ET
The up-and-down nature of the Dallas Mavericks has hit another downswing at a bad time. The Mavericks will try to avoid a third straight loss when they host the defending champion San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday. Losses to Memphis and at Phoenix over the weekend allowed the Spurs to jump over Dallas in the standings, leaving the Mavericks in seventh place in the Western Conference, one game behind San Antonio.
Philadelphia at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia 76ers have not been playing like a team worried about maximizing its number of ping pong balls in the draft lottery of late but are still struggling to win on the road. The 76ers will try to snap a 15-game road losing streak when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. The Kings are still fighting to the finish as well and have taken their last two games by a combined 33 points.
Golden State at Portland 10:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors welcomed back an important piece this week while the Portland Trail Blazers could be down three key contributors when the teams meet Tuesday night in Portland. Klay Thompson returned to the Warriors on Monday night after the team’s second-leading scorer missed three games with an ankle sprain. On the other side, Portland starters LaMarcus Aldridge (left hand), Nicolas Batum (back) and key reserve Chris Kaman (shoulder) are all doubtful for the game.
