Washington at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Charlotte Hornets are playing more like an Eastern Conference contender than the actual contender they'll face when they host the Washington Wizards on Thursday. The Hornets have won 11 of their last 14 games to surge to seventh place in the East, while third-place Washington has dropped a season-high four straight and six of its last eight. Charlotte has won four straight meetings including a 92-88 victory in Washington on Monday.
L.A. Clippers at Cleveland 8:00 PM ET
Cleveland continues to push toward team history and looks to maintain its mastery of the Western Conference when it hosts the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday. The Cavaliers' 11-game winning streak is two shy of the franchise record and they own a seven-game run against the West, including a 126-121 win at the Clippers on Jan. 16. Kyrie Irving had 37 points to lead the way for Cleveland, which seeks the season series sweep against a team it has owned at home, winning 11 of the last 12 matchups.
Dallas at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
The Dallas Mavericks looked like they would easily extend their winning streak to four straight and post their most impressive win of the season at Golden State on Wednesday before falling apart. The Mavericks will try to turn the page quickly and avoid back-to-back losses when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Thursday. The Kings can relate after dropping a 25-point decision to the Warriors on Monday.
Phoenix at Portland 10:30 PM ET
The Portland Trail Blazers are experiencing their worst stretch of the season and look for their second straight win when they host the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. Portland held on for a 103-102 victory over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday for only its third win in the last 11 games. The Suns will be seeking a rebound of their own after blowing a late seven-point lead against Memphis on Monday and falling 102-101.
