Preview Roundups
January 26, 2016
L.A. Clippers at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers are losers of five of the last six, with the lone win in that span coming over the struggling Phoenix Suns, but a stretch of home games has the team’s spirits up. The Pacers will kick off a four-game homestand when they host the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.
Phoenix at Philadelphia 7:00 PM ET
It’s rare this season that the Philadelphia 76ers run into a team in a worst situation than themselves, but the Phoenix Suns might give them a run for their money right now. The Suns will try to put together back-to-back wins for the first time since early December when they kick off a four-game road trip by visiting the 76ers on Tuesday.
Miami at Brooklyn 7:30 PM ET
The struggling Miami Heat ended their losing skid and look to post consecutive victories for the first time in more than three weeks when they visit the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. Miami overcame an eight-point, fourth-quarter deficit to record an 89-84 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Monday to halt a four-game skid and register just its second win in the last nine outings.
Oklahoma City at New York 7:30 PM ET
The Oklahoma City Thunder have gotten to the point where any loss comes as a shock, especially to a losing team. The Thunder will try to bounce back from a loss at the lowly Brooklyn Nets when they visit the New York Knicks on Tuesday.
Washington at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors aim to tie the franchise's longest winning streak on Tuesday when they put an eight-game run on the line against visiting Washington. A victory would match the team's record nine-game winning streak accomplished late in the 2001-02 season.
Orlando at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
Jason Kidd is expected to be back on the bench coaching the Milwaukee Bucks when they host the struggling Orlando Magic on Tuesday night. Kidd missed the last 17 games after hip surgery and the Bucks continued their disappointing campaign -- going 8-9 during that stretch -- after finishing sixth in the Eastern Conference a season ago.
Sacramento at Portland 10:00 PM ET
DeMarcus Cousins has established career-best scoring efforts in back-to-back games and it remains to be seen how much he has left in the tank when the Sacramento Kings visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. Cousins scored a Sacramento era franchise-record 56 points on Monday — breaking Chris Webber's mark of 51 — but the Kings fell 129-128 in double overtime against the Charlotte Hornets to end a five-game winning streak.
Dallas at L.A. Lakers 10:30 PM ET
The Dallas Mavericks look to defeat Los Angeles for the 10th consecutive time when they visit the slumping Lakers on Tuesday. Dallas beat Los Angeles twice in November and now catches a Lakers' squad that has dropped six straight games and 10 of their last 11.
