David Pastrnak, Trent Frederic, Morgan Geekie and Brandon Carlo each scored goals to help the host Boston Bruins beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1 on Thursday to complete a season sweep.

Boston's power play finished 2-for-5 and scored multiple power-play goals for the first time since Jan. 9 at Arizona.

The Bruins' final two goals came in a span of 1:07 late in the second period, which widened Boston's lead to 4-1.

Geekie has five goals in his last five games.

Jake DeBrusk and Brad Marchand dished out two assists apiece.

Jeremy Swayman stopped 28 shots to earn the win.

Mitchell Marner scored Toronto's lone goal and Joseph Woll made 22 saves for the Maple Leafs, who took their second loss in three games despite outshooting Boston 29-26.

The physical contest featured a combined 91 hits and 50 penalty minutes.

The Bruins opened the scoring at 5:37 of the first period with Boston having a five-on-three advantage. DeBrusk set up Pastrnak's one-timer from the left circle for the goal.

Frederic doubled the Bruins' lead 4:16 into the middle frame, poking the puck free from William Nylander at Toronto's offensive blue line and coasting ahead to beat Woll on the breakaway.

Toronto capitalized on a Charlie Coyle double-minor -- and a Danton Heinen turnover -- to cut its deficit to 2-1 at 7:56. Timothy Liljegren banked a pass off the boards in the neutral zone to Marner, who spun into the zone and fired a shot from the right side circle.

In the waning seconds of a man advantage with 2:44 left before the second intermission, Geekie re-established the Bruins' two-goal lead after Kevin Shattenkirk threaded a pass to him for a quick shot in the low right circle.

Carlo followed with Boston's fourth goal with 1:37 left in the second, netting a wrist shot from the center point that beat Woll.
