Ducks 1, Red Wings 0: Andrew Cogliano scored the lone goal and Jonas Hiller posted his 14th consecutive win as host Anaheim extended a trio of impressive streaks.

Saku Koivu and Kyle Palmieri each notched an assist for the Ducks, who won their ninth in a row at home and seventh straight overall while improving to 19-0-2 at Honda Center. Hiller made 22 saves for his third shutout of the season and climbed within three wins of matching the longest single-season winning streak in NHL history set in 1975-76 by Boston's Gilles Gilbert.

Petr Mrazek turned aside 22 shots for the Red Wings, who are 2-2-0 on their five-game road trip.

After a scoreless opening period, Anaheim gave Hiller all the support he needed with 7:18 remaining in the second. Koivu broke up a pass attempt by Detroit in the Red Wings' zone and received a feed from Palmieri below the right faceoff circle before setting up Cogliano on the doorstep for his 15th goal.

Hiller stopped 10 shots in the first period, five in the second and seven in the third to become the first goaltender to win 14 consecutive decisions since Pittsburgh's Tom Barrasso in 1993.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Anaheim captain Ryan Getzlaf sat out after being injured while blocking a shot late in the second period of Saturday's triumph at Phoenix, which was his 600th career contest. ... Koivu, who entered with 16 penalty minutes, was whistled for three minors over the first 22 minutes of the game. ... Detroit came up empty on five power-play opportunities and is 0-for-21 over its last five contests.
