Lightning 4, Maple Leafs 2: Rookie Alexander Killorn scored his second goal in two games and Benoit Pouliot recorded three assists as Tampa Bay pulled away from visiting Toronto in the third period.

Captain Vincent Lecavalier, Steven Stamkos and defenseman Matt Carle also had goals for the Lightning, who matched a season low with 19 shots. Anders Lindback made 23 saves for his seventh victory.

Mikhail Grabovski scored for the first time in 12 games and James van Riemsdyk added a goal for Toronto, which lost for the third time in 10 road games. Ben Scrivens, who came in with two straight shutouts, allowed four goals on 13 shots before being replaced by Jussi Rynnas (six saves) in the third period.

Lecavalier scored from the left faceoff circle after a nifty pass by Pouliot 9:25 into the game to give the Lightning a 1-0 lead and end Scrivens’ shutout streak at a little over 154 minutes. The Maple Leafs tied it with 2:01 left in the first, when Grabovski was first to a rebound after Lindback couldn’t handle Nikolai Kulemin’s shot from the slot.

Stamkos slid the puck past Scrivens from the doorstep after a pass from Cory Conacher at 4:56 of the second for a 2-1 lead. Killorn’s shot from above the left circle squirted through Scrivens 2:49 into the third and Carle added a power-play tally at 6:58 for a 4-1 advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: With the victory, Tampa Bay is 4-0-0 this season against teams who played at Florida the night before. … John-Michael Liles and Mike Komisarek, Toronto’s second and third highest-paid defensemen, were healthy scratches. ... Lecavalier also had five hits and was 13-7 in the faceoff circle for the Lightning, who improved to 6-2-1 at home.
