Rangers 6, Devils 1: Dominic Moore scored twice and Rick Nash netted his career-high 42nd goal as host New York reached the 50-win plateau for the fourth time in franchise history.

Defenseman Keith Yandle and Derek Stepan joined Nash by scoring and setting up a goal for the Metropolitan Division-champion Rangers, who pulled even in points with Anaheim (107) in the race for the Presidents' Trophy with two games in hand. Derick Brassard also tallied, captain Ryan McDonagh notched two assists and Henrik Lundqvist finished with 35 saves in the lopsided victory.

Tuomo Ruutu scored late in the third period for skidding New Jersey, which has dropped seven of its last eight (1-5-2). Keith Kinkaid made 23 saves in relief of Cory Schneider, who yielded three goals on six shots en route to losing his sixth straight start.

Mats Zuccarello's centering feed sailed between the legs of Devils defenseman Jon Merrill before deflecting off Nash's stick and into the net to open the scoring 5:10 into the first period. Yandle doubled the advantage at 11:59, wristing a shot from the point that sailed past as screened Schneider before Tanner Glass' backhanded feed from the right-wing boards was redirected home 25 seconds later to send the netminder to the showers.

With his team short-handed, Stepan scored on a breakaway with 2.7 seconds remaining in the second period and Brassard's attempted centering feed caromed off the right skate of New Jersey defenseman Adam Larsson and into the net at 1:55 of the third. Moore deflected McDonagh's shot past Kinkaid and the 12-minute mark before Ruutu ended Lundqvist's bid to extend his franchise-best shutout mark with 3 1/2 minutes to play.
