Blues 4, Flames 1: Jaden Schwartz was among four players who scored one goal and set up another as host St. Louis clinched a spot in the playoffs.

Paul Stastny, Jori Lehtera and Patrik Berglund matched Schwartz with a tally and an assist as the Blues won for only the second time in seven games (2-3-2) to pull within two points of first-place Nashville in the Central Division. Rookie Jake Allen turned aside 17 shots to help St. Louis complete a three-game sweep of the season series.

Sean Monahan become the youngest player in franchise history to score 30 goals for Calgary, which saw its lead over Los Angeles for third place in the Pacific Division shrink to one point. Jonas Hiller made 39 saves for the Flames, who lost their sixth straight visit to St. Louis.

Schwartz put the Blues in front 76 seconds into the contest, marking the first time in 11 games St. Louis scored in the first period. Schwartz skated out from the below the end line before lifting a backhander under the arm of Hiller from in tight.

Stastny finished off a pretty passing play with a power-play tally, steering in a pass from captain David Backes 23 seconds into the middle session, but the 20-year-old Monahan answered three minutes later with a redirection of Jiri Hudler's shot. Berglund set up an unmarked Lehtera for a backhander from in front with 3:15 to play before scoring into an empty net 70 seconds later.
