Rookie David Pastrnak also scored in regulation and Brad Marchand converted in the third round of the bonus format to end it as the Bruins extended their win streak to four games and their point streak to seven (6-0-1). Tuukka Rask turned aside 35 shots – 27 after the first period – as he improved to 9-2-0 lifetime against the Lightning.

Captain Steven Stamkos and rookie Vladislav Namestnikov scored for the Lightning, who saw their four-game winning streak come to an end. Ben Bishop made 28 saves, including a sprawling stop on Pastrnak in overtime, and Tampa Bay failed on a power play in the extra period.

Pastrnak opened the scoring 7:57 into the contest when Ryan Spooner’s centering pass on a 2-on-1 rush after a turnover hit his skate and caromed into the net. Stamkos tied the contest with 4:31 left in the opening period when he stole the puck from captain Zdeno Chara and patiently moved to the right circle to beat Rask high to short side.

Rask stopped all 16 shots he faced in the second period to keep the game tied before Bergeron one-timed a shot from above the slot over Bishop’s glove 2:20 into the third. Namestnikov forged a tie when he went to the net and knocked in a rebound of defenseman Mark Barberio's point shot at 8:04.
