Wild 4, Predators 2: Nino Niederreiter scored twice as visiting Minnesota ended its three-game losing streak to Nashville.

Erik Haula and Kyle Brodziak each recorded a goal and an assist for the Wild, who moved past idle Calgary and into the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference. Devan Dubnyk made 27 saves in his 19th consecutive start.

Mike Fisher netted a tally and set up another to pace the Predators, who remained six points ahead of Anaheim for the top spot in the West. Craig Smith registered his 20th goal of the season while Pekka Rinne stopped 26 shots in defeat.

Haula put Minnesota ahead late in the first period, blasting a low shot from the point that eluded Rinne on the blocker side with 2:25 remaining. Fisher drew the Predators even just 16 seconds into the middle session as he ripped a shot from the slot that squeezed past Dubnyk and trickled across the goal line.

After Brodziak and and Smith exchanged goals 79 seconds apart, Niederreiter gave Minnesota its third lead of the night at 9:48 of the second, finishing off a three-way passing play from point-blank range for his career-high 20th goal of the campaign. Dubnyk kept the Predators off the scoresheet in the third, and Niederreiter capped his big night with an empty-netter with 1:39 to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nashville had torched Minnesota for 16 goals in the previous three meetings. ... Niederreiter has collected five goals in his last six games. ... The Predators fell in regulation for just the fourth time in 31 home games this season (26-4-1).
