Ducks 4, Red Wings 3 (SO): Jakob Silfverberg scored the decisive goal in the second round of the shootout as host Anaheim posted its third consecutive victory.

Andrew Cogliano, Emerson Etem and defenseman Francois Beauchemin tallied in a span of 3:40 midway through the third period to erase a deficit for the Ducks, who improved to 26-0-7 in one-goal games. John Gibson finished with 35 saves as Anaheim completed a sweep of the two-game season series.

Pavel Datsyuk registered his second straight two-goal performance - and sixth of the campaign - while Riley Sheahan forged a tie late in the third period for the Red Wings, who fell to 2-0-1 on their six-game road trip. Defenseman Niklas Kronwall notched two assists and Jimmy Howard turned aside 22 shots as Detroit played without captain Henrik Zetterberg due to an upper-body injury.

After a scoreless first period, Datsyuk stole the puck along the left-wing boards and unleashed a shot from the faceoff dot that found the top right corner of the net 3:54 into the second. The veteran doubled Detroit's lead less than three minutes later, backhanding the puck inside the right post from low in the left circle during a power play.

Anaheim began its comeback at 9:17 of the third, when Cogliano backhanded the rebound of defenseman Hampus Lindholm's blue-line shot past Howard. Etem slipped the puck between the netminder's pads from the doorstep at 11:27 to knot the contest and Beauchemin buried a shot from the top of the right circle 1:30 later to put the Ducks ahead before Sheahan converted a cross-slot pass from the top of the left circle by Gustav Nyquist with 3:51 remaining.
