Flames 3, Canucks 2: Lance Bouma scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period as host Calgary pulled even in points with third-place Vancouver in the Pacific Division.

Sean Monahan tallied twice in a span of less than five minutes in the second period for the Flames, who won two of the four meetings between the teams and improved to 18-5-1 against division foes. Jiri Hudler notched two assists and Karri Ramo turned aside 28 shots for his first win since Dec. 4.

Linden Vey scored his second goal in three contests and Ronalds Kenins also tallied for the Canucks, who have played one fewer game than Calgary. Ryan Miller finished with 31 saves while playing on back-to-back nights.

David Jones regained possession of the puck in the right corner and spotted a cutting Bouma, who tapped his stick on the ice before scoring from the slot at 1:41 of the third period to give the Flames a 3-2 lead. Ramo made the slim advantage stand up as Bouma's career-high 10th goal also resulted in his third game-winning tally of the season.

After Kenins opened the scoring with 3:48 remaining in the first period, Monahan tapped home a loose puck on the doorstep before Vancouver defenseman Chris Tanev knocked the net off its moorings at 6:48 of the second to forge a tie. Monahan wasn't done as he converted a return feed from Hudler at 11:42 for his team-leading 19th goal, but Vey tapped in a rebound six minutes later.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Vancouver All-Star Radim Vrbata and fellow RW Zack Kassian saw their respective eight- and five-game point streaks come to a halt. ... Canucks D Alex Edler suffered an upper-body injury in the second period and did not return. ... Calgary failed on both power-play opportunities and went 0-for-11 versus Vancouver this season.
