Kings 5, Flames 3: Tyler Toffoli registered his first career hat trick and added an assist as host Los Angeles skated to its third consecutive victory.

Dwight King recorded a goal and an assist while Jordan Nolan also scored for the Kings, who have tallied 13 times during their winning streak after totaling three goals in their previous three contests. Jeff Carter collected three assists and Jonathan Quick made 15 saves as Los Angeles defeated Calgary for the first time in four tries this season.

Mason Raymond scored twice and David Jones added a tally for the Flames, who lost for just the second time in six overall contests. Jonas Hiller allowed five goals on 40 shots before being replaced by Karri Ramo, who stopped all five shots he faced.

Toffoli began his memorable performance with a shot from the right faceoff circle at 3:16 of the first period that gave the Kings a 1-0 lead. Jones and Raymond scored 32 seconds apart early in the middle session to put Calgary ahead, but defenseman Jake Muzzin's shot from the left point bounced to Toffoli, who slipped the puck into a vacant net from the doorstep with 16 seconds left in the period to forge a tie.

King put Los Angeles back in front by converting a feed from Carter 59 seconds into the third and Nolan made it 5-2 with a blast from the top of the left circle at 6:44. Toffoli completed his hat trick at 8:18, sliding a backhander between Hiller's pads on a breakaway.
