Blue Jackets 7, Blues 1: All-Star Nick Foligno scored twice and added an assist as host Columbus stamped out St. Louis' seven-game winning streak.

All-Star Game MVP Ryan Johansen recorded a goal and two assists while Corey Tropp and Scott Hartnell both registered one of each for the Blue Jackets, who halted a three-game skid with their highest-scoring effort of the season. Cam Atkinson and Matt Calvert also tallied, Brandon Dubinsky had two assists and Curtis McElhinney made 32 saves.

Paul Stastny scored the lone goal for the Blues, who had their 13-game point streak come to an end. All-Star Brian Elliott allowed four goals on 14 shots before being replaced by Jake Allen, who made 16 saves the rest of the way as St. Louis failed to earn a point for the first time since Jan. 2.

Columbus opened the scoring just past the midway point of the opening period, as Foligno batted the rebound of Dubinsky's shot out of mid-air and past Elliott on the blocker side. Atkinson doubled the lead with a bizarre goal at 18:16, knocking the puck out of the air after it caromed off Hartnell's head and the back bar of the net.

Johansen extended the lead 5:06 into the middle period, converting on a breakaway for the first short-handed goal of his career, and Tropp made it 4-0 - and ended Elliott's night in the process - with a redirection of defenseman Fedor Tyutin's shot that glanced off the goaltender's leg for his first goal in 65 games. Stastny got St. Louis on the board during a power play at 11:14, but Foligno struck again with a shot from the slot five minutes later and Calvert tallied 5:59 into the third before Hartnell converted a 2-on-1 rush with 4:39 remaining to cap the rout.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Tropp's last goal came on Dec. 29, 2013 against Pittsburgh. ... Foligno leads the Blue Jackets with 14 multi-point performances, while the three points gave him a career-best 49 on the season. ... The home team has won five of the last six meetings.
