Blues 7, Sharks 2: T.J. Oshie recorded his second career hat trick and added an assist as St. Louis ended its five-game road losing streak in emphatic fashion.

Alex Steen and defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk each notched a goal and three assists while Jaden Schwartz returned from injury to register one of each for the Blues, who improved to 1-2-0 on their four-game road trip. Dmitrij Jaskin also scored, Paul Stastny set up two tallies and Brian Elliott made 18 saves as St. Louis scored the final six goals of the contest.

Rookie Melker Karlsson and Joe Pavelski tallied for the Sharks, who lost for the fourth time in five games (1-3-1). Antti Niemi allowed six goals on 27 shots before being replaced by Alex Stalock, who finished with five saves.

Oshie opened the scoring at 11:49 of the first period by flicking the puck past Niemi from the doorstep, but Karlsson and Pavelski tallied 40 seconds apart late in the session to put San Jose ahead. Steen forged a 2-2 tie just 54 seconds later with a blast from the left faceoff circle and Oshie beat Niemi from the left circle 5 1/2 minutes into the second to give the Blues the lead.

Schwartz made a sensational backhand pass while falling in the left corner to Shattenkirk, who scored from the doorstep with nine seconds left in the session, and tipped Steen's one-timer from the right point during a power play 77 seconds into the third to make it 5-2. Jaskin chased Niemi with a turnaround shot from along the right-wing boards at 4:58 and Oshie completed his hat trick while on the man advantage at 9:16, when his pass attempt from the left side of the crease caromed off Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic's skate and in.
