Blackhawks 5, Predators 4 (SO): Captain Jonathan Toews scored the lone goal of the shootout after Bryan Bickell tied it with 73 seconds remaining in regulation as Chicago rallied from a three-goal deficit.

Toews slid the puck between the pads of Pekka Rinne to complete the comeback for the Blackhawks, who erased Nashville's 3-0 lead when Brad Richards, Andrew Shaw and Marian Hossa scored in a span of 7:10 in the second period. Defenseman Duncan Keith collected three assists, Bickell notched one and Corey Crawford made 36 saves as the Blackhawks posted their 16th win in 20 games (16-3-1).

James Neal scored a pair of goals while defenseman Roman Josi and Craig Smith also tallied for Nashville, which lost for only the fifth time in 16 games to fall four points behind first-place Chicago in the Central Division. Colin Wilson notched a pair of assists and Rinne (38 saves) added one as the Predators fell to 1-1-2 this season versus the Blackhawks.

Neal's tip-in 7 1/2 minutes into the second period put Nashville ahead 3-0, but Richards ignited the comeback with a rocket from the left faceoff circle. Shaw ended a 13-game drought by converting at the post with 4:12 left in the session before Hossa buried a slap shot during a 4-on-3 power play less than two minutes later for a 3-3 deadlock.

The Predators quickly regained the lead as Neal batted home a rebound during a power play at 19:04 of the second, but Bickell forced overtime by knocking home a rebound in front with 1:13 left in the third. Josi opened the scoring near the 12-minute mark of the first, ripping a shot from the top of the right circle into the far corner of the net, and Smith buried the rebound of Wilson's shot with 2:48 left in the period.
