Panthers 6, Maple Leafs 4: Brad Boyes scored a power-play goal to snap a tie with 3:15 remaining as Florida tallied four times in the third period to extend its home winning streak to four games.

With Toronto's Cody Franson serving a hooking penalty, fellow defenseman Dmitry Kulikov skated along the blue line before his soft wrist shot was tipped home by Boyes. Scottie Upshall sealed the win with an empty-net goal as the Maple Leafs fell for the first time in 15 opportunities while carrying a lead into the third period.

Jimmy Hayes scored his third goal in two contests and Jonathan Huberdeau, captain Willie Mitchell and Kulikov also tallied for the Panthers, who improved to 6-0-1 in their last seven home games and 5-1-1 in their last seven overall. Roberto Luongo finished with 13 saves to pick up the victory in the offensive slugfest.

James van Riemsdyk netted his third goal in four contests and Richard Panik, Nazem Kadri and defenseman Roman Polak also tallied for Toronto, which has dropped four of its last five following a season-high six-game winning streak. Joffrey Lupul notched a pair of assists to surpass the 400-point plateau and James Reimer turned aside 29 shots.

With Huberdeau serving a hooking penalty, van Riemsdyk chipped home a centering feed from Franson to give the Maple Leafs a 3-2 lead with 2:30 remaining in the second period and Kadri converted from in close to double the advantage 89 seconds later. Kulikov beat Reimer under the crossbar to trim the deficit 2:45 into the third and Mitchell's blast from the point forged a 4-4 tie midway into the session.
