Sharks 3, Blues 2 (OT): Defenseman Brent Burns beat Jake Allen with a one-timer from above the slot during a power play 4:22 into overtime as San Jose rallied to complete a perfect five-game homestand.

Blue-liner Marc-Edouard Vlasic scored the tying goal in the final minute of the third period and Andrew Desjardins also tallied for the Sharks, who have won eight straight at home. Antti Niemi turned aside 18 shots as San Jose played a penalty-free game.

Patrik Berglund and Steve Ott scored for the Blues, who fell to 0-1-1 on their three-game road trip. Allen finished with 27 saves, including 16 in the second period.

After a scoreless first period, San Jose got on the board midway through the second. Desjardins received a bank pass off the left-wing boards from defenseman Justin Braun and skated to the bottom of the left faceoff circle before beating Allen from a bad angle at 10:47.

Berglund forged a tie with 5:31 remaining in the session, backhanding the rebound of blue-liner Alex Pietrangelo's one-timer from the right point past Niemi from the left side of the crease. St. Louis moved ahead 2:52 later as Ott beat Niemi low to the stick side during a breakaway for his first goal in 59 games, but Vlasic fired the puck past Allen from the top of the left circle with 20.6 seconds remaining in the third to force overtime.
