Canucks 3, Canadiens 2 (OT): Daniel Sedin scored a power-play goal 2:45 into overtime as host Vancouver completed a sweep of its three-game homestand after squandering a two-goal lead.

With five seconds remaining on Montreal defenseman Tom Gilbert's interference penalty, captain Henrik Sedin carried the puck down the right wing and cut to the top of the slot before threading a lead pass to brother Daniel, who sneaked around Canadiens blue-liner Alexei Emelin in the right faceoff circle before beating Carey Price from the doorstep. Nick Bonino and Brad Richardson also tallied while Ryan Miller made 23 saves for the Canucks, who allowed a total of five goals on their homestand.

Alex Galchenyuk and Max Pacioretty scored 5:16 apart in the latter half of the third period to erase a 2-0 deficit for the Canadiens, who went 1-1-1 on their three-game road trip. Price turned aside 27 shots for Montreal, which failed to convert on three power-play opportunities to fall to 0-for-24 on the road.

After a scoreless first period, Vancouver took advantage of a turnover in the second to take the lead. Bonino intercepted Emelin's pass attempt in the neutral zone and dished the puck to Derek Dorsett during a 2-on-1 rush before tapping in a return pass at the right post at 8:29.

Richardson doubled the lead 2:17 into the third, beating Price to the glove side from the right faceoff circle after near misses at both ends. The Canadiens halved the deficit 10 minutes later as Galchenyuk tipped defenseman P.K. Subban's point shot past Miller, and Pacioretty fired the puck by the netminder from the right circle with 2:33 remaining to forge a tie.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Miller's victory was the 301st of his career, tying him with Mike Richter for 28th place on the all-time list and third among American-born goaltenders. ... Montreal coach Michel Therrien was irate following Bonino's goal, believing a penalty should have been called on Vancouver LW Alex Burrows for a high hit on Emelin right after the turnover, which would have drawn an immediate whistle and negated the play. Emelin missed the remainder of the second period but returned for the third. ... Galchenyuk's goal created some controversy as Canadiens RW Brendan Gallagher made contact with Miller after being pushed into the crease by Canucks D Kevin Bieksa. ... Vancouver RW Radim Vrbata had his five-game point streak snapped and failed to land on the scoresheet for just the second time in 10 contests this season.
