Penguins 8, Devils 3: Craig Adams snapped a tie late in the second as Pittsburgh erupted for four goals in the period and continued its home dominance over New Jersey.

Captain Sidney Crosby scored twice while Pascal Dupuis, Blake Comeau, Steve Downie and Patric Hornqvist each recorded a goal and an assist for the Penguins, who netted seven unanswered tallies en route to their ninth win in their last 11 meetings with the Devils at Consol Energy Center. Evgeni Malkin also tallied, Brandon Sutter and Simon Despres notched two assists apiece and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 16 shots.

Dainius Zubrus, Jacob Josefson and Tuomo Ruutu tallied for the Devils, who lost for just the second time in six road games this season. Cory Schneider allowed five goals on 23 shots before being replaced by Scott Clemmensen, who made seven saves in the third period.

Zubrus gave New Jersey the lead nine seconds into the contest with a shot from above the left faceoff circle that deflected off Pittsburgh defenseman Kris Letang's stick and sailed past Fleury. Comeau tied it at 7:17 of the first period, knocking the puck in following a turnover by Schneider behind the net, but Josefson buried a backhander during a short-handed breakaway 2:12 into the second and Ruttu scored on a rebound three minutes later to put the Devils ahead 3-1.

Malkin began Pittsburgh's comeback with a one-timer from the top of the slot during a 5-on-3 power play at 8:56 and Hornqvist fired the puck over Schneider's left shoulder from the right faceoff dot less than four minutes later to forge a tie. Adams gave the Penguins the lead with 2:25 remaining, beating Schneider to the glove side on a breakaway moments after exiting the penalty box, and Crosby fired a loose puck past the netminder from the left side of the crease 74 seconds later for a 5-3 advantage.
