Canadiens 3, Rangers 1: Max Pacioretty recorded a goal and an assist to help Montreal complete a perfect four-game homestand.

Tomas Plekanec opened the scoring while short-handed and Lars Eller added his first tally of the season for the Canadiens, who will carry a four-game winning streak into their upcoming Western Conference road trip. Carey Price made 34 saves while Dale Weise notched his first two assists of the campaign.

Carl Hagelin netted the lone goal for New York, which saw its three-game winning streak come to an end. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 27 shots in defeat.

Eller snapped a 1-1 tie 11:46 into the second period by banging in a rebound for his first goal since April 4. Pacioretty added some insurance at 6:35 of the third by snapping a pass from Weise past Lundqvist.

Plekanec opened the scoring on a 2-on-none rush with Pacioretty 12:06 into the contest. But Hagelin pounced on a rebound five minutes later to knot the contest.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Prior to the game, a simultaneous moment of silence was held along with Ottawa and Toronto honoring the Canadian soldiers who lost their lives in a pair of attacks earlier in the week. … Pacioretty finished with six points during the homestand. … Rangers rookie LW Anthony Duclair recorded an assist in his first appearance since Oct. 16.
