Kings 4, Jets 1: Tyler Toffoli, Tanner Pearson and Jeff Carter each recorded a goal and an assist as host Los Angeles posted its first victory of the season.

Anze Kopitar also scored and defenseman Drew Doughty notched a pair of assists for the reigning Stanley Cup-champion Kings, who kicked off their six-game homestand in impressive fashion. Martin Jones turned aside 29 shots in his first start of the campaign.

Bryan Little netted the lone goal for the Jets, who have tallied once in their last two games after scoring six times in their season-opening win over Arizona. Michael Hutchinson allowed three goals on 13 shots before being replace by Ondrej Pavelec, who finished with 17 saves.

Toffoli opened the scoring 6:18 into the game as he grabbed a loose puck at the left side and tapped it into a vacant net. Kopitar doubled the advantage 4:40 later by burying a rebound in front and Pearson made it 3-0 just over two minutes into the second period with a shot from the left faceoff circle.

Carter padded the lead with 3:18 remaining in the session, putting a rebound past Pavelec after the netminder denied Toffoli on a breakaway. Little answered 65 seconds later as he fired a rebound past Jones from the inner edge of the left circle.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Los Angeles improved to 11-3-4 in the all-time series. ... D Mark Stuart played in his 500th NHL game for the Jets, who begin a five-game homestand Friday against Nashville. ... Pearson and Carter each have two of the Kings' six goals this season.
