Rangers 4, Flyers 2: Dominic Moore scored for the second straight game and Henrik Lundqvist finished with 24 saves as host New York seized a 3-2 advantage in its Eastern Conference first-round series.

Defenseman Marc Staal recorded his first goal in three months while Brad Richards and Brian Boyle also tallied for the Rangers, who have defeated their Metropolitan Division rivals in 10 of their last 11 meetings at Madison Square Garden. New York travels to Philadelphia for Game 6 on Tuesday.

Vincent Lecavalier scored his 25th career postseason goal late in the second period and captain Claude Giroux converted from above the left faceoff circle for his first tally of the series with 1:29 remaining in the third. The Flyers failed to net the equalizer and Moore assisted on Boyle's empty-net goal with 15 seconds left to seal the win.

Derek Stepan gained the blue line before leaving a drop pass for Staal, who wristed a shot from above the left circle that caromed off the left arm of Steve Mason (18 saves) and into the net. The game's opening tally at 11:53 of the first period was Staal's first since he scored at Yankee Stadium against New Jersey on Jan. 26.

Richards backhanded the puck past Mason from below the end line at 8:07 of the second before Moore gave New York a 3-0 lead eight minutes later by taking advantage of Braydon Coburn's ill-advised pass into the skates of fellow Flyers defenseman Hal Gill. Moore, who skated in and wristed a shot over Mason's left shoulder, also tallied in the Rangers' 2-1 loss in Game 4 on Friday.
