Ducks 4, Kings 3 (SO): Devante Smith-Pelly scored the only goal of the shootout in the fourth round and also tallied in regulation as visiting Anaheim clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

Nick Bonino and Matt Beleskey also scored as the Ducks set up a first-round playoff matchup with Dallas by beating Los Angeles for the fourth consecutive time. Rookie Frederik Andersen, back from an injury that sidelined him for three games, made 27 saves before denying all four attempts in the bonus format to make Sunday's regular-season finale against Colorado meaningless for Anaheim.

Anze Kopitar scored twice in the third period - his sixth and seventh tallies in eight games - and captain Dustin Brown also tallied as the Kings closed out the regular season with four losses in five games (1-2-2). Jonathan Quick made 21 saves for Los Angeles, which will meet San Jose in the opening round of the postseason.

Defenseman Hampus Lindholm ripped a shot from the top of the left faceoff circle that clipped the skate of Smith-Pelly and went into the net 2:33 into the second period for a 2-1 lead, but Kopitar knotted it on a wraparound 48 seconds into the third. Beleskey extended his goal-scoring streak to three games with a snap shot from the right circle with 4:47 remaining, but Kopitar netted the equalizer 95 seconds later with his fourth tally in three games.

The Kings opened the scoring when a cutting Brown corralled a puck behind Anaheim's defense and zipped a wrister between the pads of Andersen 4:43 into the contest. The Ducks answered 1 1/2 minutes later on a spectacular goal by Bonino, who beat Kings defenseman Slava Voynov to a loose puck in front and, while sliding into the right circle on his knees, rifled a backhander past a surprised Quick.
