The Edmonton Oilers extended their winning streak to eight games with a 4-1 victory over the visiting Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.
After Blackhawks rookie Connor Bedard opened the scoring, the Oilers responded with four unanswered goals as Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Sam Gagner, Leon Draisaitl, and Zach Hyman all found the back of the net.
Edmonton defenseman Evan Bouchard extended his point streak to 12 games with two assists, and captain Connor McDavid stretched his streak to 10 games with a pair of helpers.
Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner made 22 saves for his seventh straight win.
Petr Mrazek stopped 25 shots for Chicago, which saw its road losing streak stretch to seven games.
The Oilers led 2-1 after one period, despite being outshot 14-8.
Bedard opened the scoring, snapping a shot glove side past Skinner at 3:21. It was his 12th goal of the season, snapping his five-game goalless drought and extending his road point streak to 10 games.
Nugent-Hopkins tied the game 1-1 at 9:58 of the opening period, taking a feed from McDavid and beating Mrazek high blocker side for his sixth of the season.
Edmonton took its first lead with 1:41 remaining in the opening frame. Gagner one-timed Derek Ryan's feed high glove side past Mrazek for his fourth of the season.
Draisaitl gave the Oilers a 3-1 lead at 13:22 of the second period when his pass attempt redirected off the stick of Blackhawks defenseman Nikita Zaitsev and past Mrazek. It was his 12th goal of the season.
Hyman made it 4-1 on a power play 43 seconds into the third period, redirecting McDavid's feed past Mrazek for his team-leading 16th score.
Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones missed his first game with an upper-body injury suffered Sunday in a loss to the Washington Capitals.
Chicago blue-liner Filip Roos, recalled from the AHL's Rockford IceHogs on Monday, made his season debut on Tuesday.
