Chicago's Kevin Korchinski scored a wild goal with 30 seconds left in overtime as the Blackhawks broke a five-game losing streak, edging the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3 on Black Friday.
After Connor Bedard's shot from the high slot hit the back glass, it rebounded onto the top of the net in three-on-three play then fell close to Toronto goaltender Ilya Samsonov (30 saves).
Korchinski, a defenseman, then one-handed it in from in close for his second goal and first career game-winner.
Jason Dickinson recorded his first career hat trick for Chicago, which swept the season series from the Leafs.
Arvid Soderblom made 34 saves to win for the second time this season -- both against Toronto.
Toronto's Nicholas Robertson, Calle Jarnkrok and Ryan Reaves hit the net, while Max Domi recorded two assists.
William Nylander, who missed on a breakaway in overtime on a shot that hit the crossbar and post, had his franchise-record, season-opening point streak come to an end at 17 matches.
In the first period, Domi led a rush and slid a cross-ice puck to Robertson, who fired a shot that rattled inside the cage and out for his third goal.
But just 49 seconds later, the struggling Blackhawks -- routed 7-3 in Columbus by the Blue Jackets Thursday -- matched the tally when Joey Anderson forced a turnover.
After gaining puck possession, Dickinson skated in from the left side, quickly toe-dragged and whipped one by Samsonov on the short side.
Soderblom, who beat the Leafs 4-1 on Oct. 16, kept Chicago in the game despite a lopsided first 20 minutes that saw the visitors own a 15-6 shot advantage.
On its first shot of the second while on four-on-four play, Jarnkrok tapped in his fifth goal at 1:17. Domi recorded his seventh assist in the past seven games on the marker.
Just over two minutes later, Reaves tipped in his first goal with the Leafs on a pass from Jake McCabe, who handed out his 100th career assist.
In his 15th game with Toronto, the gritty fourth-liner Reaves then skated by the bench and was greeted with celebratory high-fives from his enthusiastic teammates.
Dickinson narrowed the after deficit to 3-2 with his second marker of the game after the puck was knocked out front by a Toronto stick from behind Samsonov.
Fifteen seconds into the final frame, Dickinson netted his first hat trick with his sixth goal -- his second unassisted one of the match.
