Sharks 7, Flyers 3: Joe Pavelski recorded his second career hat trick by scoring three times during a five-goal second period as San Jose won for the sixth straight time in Philadelphia.

Raffi Torres scored twice in his season debut and Logan Couture added a pair in his return from a 16-game absence due to a hand injury. The five-goal middle session helped pave the way for Alex Stalock (27 saves) as the Sharks posted their fourth win in five contests and avenged a 5-2 setback to Philadelphia on Feb. 3.

Defenseman Andrej Meszaros and Brayden Schenn scored 22 seconds apart midway through the first period and Matt Read added a goal and an assist for the Flyers, who saw their four-game winning streak come to an emphatic end.

After tying the contest with a power-play goal, Pavelski gave San Jose a 3-2 lead midway through the second by deflecting defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic's shot from the point past Steve Mason (12 saves). Couture cleaned up a rebound 35 seconds later to chase Mason and Pavelski greeted Ray Emery (10 saves) with his career-high 32nd goal at 14:10 of the session.

Playing in his first contest since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in an exhibition contest in September, Torres drew first blood at 4:25 of the first period by batting a rebound into the net from the doorstep. Meszaros forged a tie just over six minutes later and Schenn's no-look backhander from behind the net caromed off the skate of Sharks defenseman Jason Demers and inside the right post to give Philadelphia a 2-1 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pavelski registered his first hat trick in a 5-4 victory over Tampa Bay on Jan. 18. Lightning captain Martin St. Louis scored all four of his team's goals in the loss. ... The Sharks went 1-for-5 on the power play to improve to 2-for-34 in the last 10 games. ... San Jose C Tommy Wingels notched an assist to extend his point streak to four games.
