Flyers 2, Flames 1: Scott Hartnell scored the game-winning goal early in the third period and Ray Emery turned aside 32 shots as host Philadelphia matched a season high with its fourth consecutive victory.
Brayden Schenn netted the opening goal and captain Claude Giroux extended his point streak to four games with an assist as the Flyers defeated Calgary for only the second time in the last six home meetings. Emery came within 2:26 of his 16th career shutout in his first start since Jan. 23.
Matt Stajan scored for the second straight game and Reto Berra made 21 saves for the Flames, who were shut out for the second time in three games - their only two defeats during a 6-2-0 stretch.
Schenn broke the scoreless deadlock and halted a six-game goalless drought when he accepted a return pass from Wayne Simmonds and beat Berra with a one-timer from the top of the left faceoff circle at 8:04 of the middle session. The Flames dominated play in the period, outshooting the Flyers 11-4.
Philadelphia doubled the lead 4:04 into the third, when Giroux's blast from the top of the right circle deflected off the skate of Hartnell and into the net. Stajan got Calgary within a goal when he converted a rebound at 17:34, but the Flames were unable to get the equalizer.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Schenn's tally was his first goal since Jan. 23 and only his second point in 11 games. ... Flames C Joe Colborne extended his point streak to three games with an assist on Stajan's goal ... Giroux has collected 37 points in his last 29 games, the most in the NHL in that span.
