Bruins 3, Canucks 1: Milan Lucic and Jarome Iginla each had a goal and an assist as Boston handed visiting Vancouver its fifth consecutive defeat.
Daniel Paille also scored as the Bruins won for the sixth time in seven games (6-1-0) and improved to 13-4-3 against Western Conference opponents. Tuukka Rask turned aside 27 shots for his third win in four starts.
Defenseman Raphael Diaz scored the lone goal in his debut with the Canucks, who fell to 0-3-0 on their five-game road trip. Roberto Luongo made 29 saves in his first start in Boston since he was shelled in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final in 2011.
Acquired in a trade with Montreal on Monday, Diaz cut the deficit to 2-1 with his first goal of the season on a blast from the right point that knuckled away from Rask with 8 1/2 minutes left in the second period. Boston had an apparent goal by Brad Marchand overturned minutes later due to goaltender interference, but defenseman Johnny Boychuk sprung Paille on a breakaway and he slid a backhander past Luongo with 2:54 left in the session.
The Bruins opened the scoring 5:12 into the contest when David Krejci sent a crossing pass to Lucic, who snapped a shot that beat Luongo top shelf for his 16th goal. Iginla doubled the lead on the power play just before the eight-minute mark of the second period, finishing a pass from captain Zdeno Chara seconds after Rask denied Daniel Sedin's short-handed breakaway attempt.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Boston RW Jarome Iginla picked up his 600th career assist on Lucic's opening goal and has three tallies and eight assists in his last six games. ... Diaz halted a 53-game goalless drought dating to Feb. 19. ... The failed breakaway by Sedin left him without a goal in 2014, a span on 17 games.
