Maple Leafs 4, Panthers 0: James Reimer made 34 saves and Phil Kessel scored twice to stay red-hot in April as visiting Toronto won for the second time in five games.

Leo Komarov and Clarke MacArthur tallied in the first period for the Maple Leafs, who are three points ahead of sixth-place Ottawa in the Eastern Conference. Toronto has one game remaining, while the Senators have two.

Reimer made five saves in the first period, 13 in the second and 16 in the third for his 10th career shutout and fourth this season. Jacob Markstrom stopped 13 shots for Florida, which was swept in its season series with Toronto for the first time since the 2005-06 campaign.

Kessel, who has eight points during his four-game streak, scored his eighth and ninth goals this month exactly three minutes apart early in the second period. Kessel finished a 2-on-1 with Nazem Kadri 1:41 into the session before sliding a rebound past Markstrom.

Komarov opened the scoring 5:39 into the game, when his wrist shot trickled past Markstrom. MacArthur made it 2-0 by burying a rebound for his first goal in 16 contests.
