Coyotes 5, Kings 2: Mikkel Boedker recorded his third career two-goal performance as host Phoenix posted its fourth win in six games.

Captain Shane Doan and Raffi Torres each notched a goal and an assist, Rob Klinkhammer also scored and Mike Smith made 31 saves for the Coyotes, who won the final two contests of their three-game homestand.

Mike Richards and captain Dustin Brown scored power-play goals while Jonathan Quick stopped 24 shots for Los Angeles, which had won four of five and lost for just the fourth time in 15 games.

Boedker opened the scoring at 9:25 of the first period with a wrist shot from the top of the slot that beat Quick to the stick side. After Doan redirected a slap pass from defenseman Derek Morris past Quick later in the session for his fourth goal in five contests, Boedker beat the goaltender high to the glove side from the slot during a power play at 3:27 of the second to make it 3-0.

Torres tallied with 7:27 left in the period before the Kings used the man advantage to halve the deficit. But Klinkhammer scored for the second time in as many contests midway through the third to seal the win.
