Matt D'Agostini scored a pair of goals and the visiting St. Louis Blues continued to torment the Los Angeles Kings with a 4-0 victory Thursday night.
Jaroslav Halak turned aside 17 shots for his fifth shutout of the season as the Blues (32-30-9) snapped the Kings' four-game winning streak and completed a sweep of the four-game season series.
Defenseman Alex Pietrangelo scored on an 80-foot slapshot and added an assist as St. Louis halted a two-game losing streak while beating Los Angeles (40-26-5) for the seventh consecutive time.
Jonathan Quick made 35 saves for Los Angeles, which fell two points behind Phoenix for fourth place in the Western Conference.
The Blues swarmed the Kings in the first two periods, outshooting them 30-6, and it paid off when D'Agostini scored with 3 1/2 minutes left in the opening period and with seven seconds to go in the second.
It marked the 16th and 17th tallies of the season for D'Agostini, who has four goals and three assists in his last four games.
