Jason Blake scored his second goal of the game nearly two minutes into the third period as the Anaheim Ducks recorded a 2-1 home triumph over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.

Making his first start since Feb. 1, 2010, Ray Emery made the modest offense stand up by turning aside 30 shots. The 28-year-old Ontario native last played a regular-season game with the Philadelphia Flyers.

With the triumph, Anaheim (38-27-5) secured its sixth win in eight games and pulled into a tie with the Calgary Flames (36-27-9) for eighth place in the Western Conference standings.

Blake leveled the contest at 1-1 with 8:32 remaining in the second period after accepting a feed from veteran Teemu Selanne on the doorstep and tucking the puck past Jaroslav Halak.

The 37-year-old Minnesota native then netted his 14th goal of the season at 1:50 of the third period to provide the winning margin.

Defenseman Nathan Oystrick collected his first goal of the season and Halak finished with 22 saves for St. Louis (31-30-9), which has dropped two in a row after winning three straight. The Blues have had considerable trouble in Anaheim, winning just two of its last 16 contests.

Oystrick opened the scoring at 9:54 of the second period after regaining the puck after his initial shot was blocked and wiring his second attempt past Emery.
